My mom just called to tell me that my dad almost had a heartattack today. Now he's in hospital in the ICU for the night. They've already set him a stent. I'm shocked. Mom's voice was still all shaky. We were lucky he seems to be alright now. He noticed in time. He had a heartattack when he was 40 and recognized the symptoms. He was out with his bike and called mom to come pick him up and take him to the hospital.
I'm so relieved that he had the sense to ask for help in time. And that mom reacted immediately. Dad doesn't like doctors. So when he wanted to go to the hospital, she knew it was bad. Mom's going tol call me tomorrow night with an update. Please don't let her have to call before that.

I spoke to my dad today. He's fine now. He's even complaining about staying in ICU when he feels healthy. Yeah, that's him. We were all very lucky.
