I repainted my bathroom today. It took me all afternoon. 5 Hours! First I had to spread the plastic sheets, then paint the ceiling, then the corners and finally the walls. That all wasn't the big deal.

The big deal was the designs I wanted to have. I'd bought several fish-shaped sponges and a wave-like template. I wanted to to make a blue wave line across the middle of the bathroom walls.

At first it was a disaster. Everything was smudged. And the fishies were all out of shape and lots of them had blue spots around them from the sponges. I added some yellow/orange fishies... and didn't like it.

So I had to wait for everything to dry and then paint it over. The next attempt went better. I only used blue, there are still some rough edges. But I kinda like it. The sponge smears that were still there I made into some kind of underwater plant design. It wasn't what I had planned. But I didn't have very strict expactations to begin with. Knowing me it wouldn't look too professional.

In the end it turned out quite nicely. At least now my bathroom doesn't look like a prison cell anymore.

I'm basically caked with paint *grin*. It's very hard to get off even with scrubbing. I guess I'll find some spots even tomorrow.
