another guinea pig update

So I was a bit too optimistic about Strubbel's liking that hay paste. The first day he actually ate some of it but then he completely lost interest. Today I resorted to drastic measures. Got a big syringe, put the paste into it, got the piggie and inserted syringe. Very small portions into his mouth (not his throat!). At first he didn't like it, AT ALL. But then he started nibbling the paste away (which was cute), just like he does with this water bottle (which he also doesn't touch right now either... Damn boy, EAT! DRINK!) Since he hasn't been drinking his water, it's been a few days now I think, I'm offering him lots of soaked salad and tomatoes. Those he devours.
All told I'm really not happy with the situation. I'm rather worried.
